What Is a View?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Views let you capture and revisit the exact data, filters, and layout you care about — whether that’s a table of records or results from Terminal.

They’re your personal or shared snapshots of how you explore your Network

View navigation

Explore your View

Open a View to see its connected data and relationships at a glance.

The page is organized into collapsible sections, each focused on a different dimension of your View. Expand or collapse any section to focus on what matters most.

Overview section

The Overview section is your View's home base — a quick summary of what this View is about and how it came together.

Records section

The Records section displays all the people, organizations, and events connected to your View in a sortable, filterable table.

  • Sort by: Name, Type, or Last Updated

  • Click a row to open a preview panel with key details

Use the Records table to quickly browse and manage large sets of records.

Note: You can view artifacts currently associated with this View. The ability to actively link artifacts directly through the UI is not yet available — this functionality is coming soon.

Linked Artifacts Section section

The Linked Artifacts section shows all files and documents associated with your View.

  • Browse artifacts with file type and creation date at a glance

  • Click an artifact to navigate to its detail page

  • Hover over an artifact to remove it from the View

Sources

The Sources section is reserved for citations and reference data tied to your View.

This section will display the origin of information surfaced in your View.
