Creating Artifacts
Uploading from the Sidebar
Upload artifacts manually to your NetworkOS Defense workspace.
Click the “+” icon on the left navigation panel.
Select File Upload from the menu.
Choose the file you want to upload.
Note: NetworkOS Defense currently supports .txt files. PDF files are supported through Google Drive integrations.
Click Next and add any additional detail.
Select the Mission where the artifact belongs.
Note: All artifacts are also saved at the workspace level.
Click Upload Artifacts to complete the process.
Uploading from a Mission
Add artifacts directly to a Mission.
Navigate to your desired Mission.
Open the Artifacts tab.
Click the Upload button to select and upload your file.
Note: NetworkOS Defense currently supports .txt files. PDF files are supported through Google Drive integrations.
Click Next and add any additional detail.
Click Upload Artifacts to complete the process.
Your uploaded files are instantly linked to the Mission and appear in your workspace as well.
Uploading from Terminal
Upload artifacts seamlessly during a conversation in Terminal.
Open Terminal.
Click the “+” icon and select your file.
Note: NetworkOS Defense currently only supports text-based files. PDF files are supported through Google Drive integrations.
Press Enter to upload.
Uploaded artifacts automatically connect to your workspace’s records and become searchable across NetworkOS Defense.
Viewing and Editing Artifact Details
You can view or modify artifact details from multiple entry points — Record Preview, Record Details, or visual modes like Graph View and Table View.
What You Can Edit
Description — Add or update a short summary or context.
Tags — Create or modify tags to help categorize artifacts.
Involvement — Update where artifacts are linked within Missions.
Relationships — Link the artifact to relevant records (e.g., People, Organizations, or Events) to show how it fits in your workspace.
Note: Once uploaded, you can’t change the file’s name, type, size, upload date, last modified date, or content.
What You Can View
Artifact Information — View the file name, type, size, source, creation and last modified dates, and processing status.
Summary of Contents — Review the AI-generated summary, which highlights key topics from the file. NetworkOS Defense automatically analyzes and summarizes each artifact so you can quickly understand its contents without opening the full document.
Access Paths to View Artifacts
From the Artifacts Tab
Open the Mission containing the artifact.
Click Artifacts in the top navigation bar.
Locate the artifact you want to view.
Select ⋮ → View Full Details to open the complete record.
Click the Edit icon to update information.
Click the Check icon to apply updates.
Downloading Artifacts
From the Preview Panel
Open the artifact preview.
Click Actions → Download Artifact.
Extraction (Coming Soon)
A new Extract command will enable structured data record extraction from artifact contents.
